I started dressmaking as costume designer and wardrobe mistress with a small touring theatre company, and my taste for the dramatic led naturally into dressmaking for special occasions. Having studied pattern cutting and sewing in the UK and Italy, I started making wedding dresses for friends. Working from home, this remains a passion rather than a full-time business – the dresses I make are unique, made to the specific requirements of each woman, and I want to keep that personal feel.
